Read Job Descriptions to Make Your Resume Stand Out

Published by got2trotlibrarian at 8:45 am under Uncategorized Edit This

It’s important to tailor your resume to the position and/or field you’re trying to break into.  Reading job descriptions is a great way to figure out what employers are looking for in your desired field.  If your dream job positions require an advanced knowledge of Excel and yours is not, then try taking an Excel class.  If the employer is looking for someone who has project management experience, and you do, make sure this is evident on your resume and in your cover letter.  Employers are not going to try and read in-between the lines, as candidate impressions are formed very quickly.  Good luck!  Hopefully these tips will help you secure that coveted job that offers great health insurance and other benefits!
